- eXo People: Brings enterprise social networking to the portal. Users can complete their profile with skills, background and additional contact information. A People directory is there to help find people by skill position or name. users can connect and start following each others activity.
- eXo Spaces: Brings easy community management. Anyone can create a collective workspace, called a space. Spaces come with an activity stream that captures the community's updates. Collaboration is done through applications added and removed easily by the space manager.
- OpenSocial API is available to developers to create new applications that leverage the activities and people graph. Also, the Opensocial gadget container is included as in any GateIn distribution.
