Manage taxonomies Test Cases
Required Test Cases (in order)
Main steps
- Go to Content Administration -> ECM Administration -> Ontologies -> Manage Taxonomy
Create a new taxonomy
- Select the location that you want to create a new taxonomy
- Click on 'Add' icon -> Add Taxonomy pop-up appears
- Enter taxonomy name
- Click Save button
- New taxonomy is added and listed in taxonomies list.
Copy/Paste or Cut/Paste taxonomy to others taxonomies
- Select a taxonomy that you want to move to another location
- Click on 'Copy' or 'Cut' icon
- Select the location to paste
- Click on the 'Paste' icon
- Selected taxonomy is copy or move to new location
Delete a taxonomy
- Select a taxonomy that you want to delete
- Click on 'Delete' icon
- Click OK in confirm message
- Selected taxonomy is deleted from list
Other checks
- Case 1:
- Input: 'Taxonomy Name' field is blank when add new taxonomy
- Output: Show message " The value of field 'taxonomyName' is null or empty!"
- Case 2:
- Input: Input special characters in 'Name' field such as: @,#,%,$,&...when add new taxonomy
- Output: Show message " There are some invalid characters in field 'taxonomyName'. Type another value, please!"
- Case 3:
- Input: Add new taxonomy has the same name and level with existing taxonomy in one node
- Output: Show message " The "..." category is existing! "
- Case 4:
- Input: Cut a taxonomy and paste into itself
- Output: Show message " You can not paste here. Maybe, the taxonomy node '/jcr:system/exo:ecm/exo:taxonomies/...' is cutting."
- Case 5:
- Input: Click icon 'Paste' without cut or copy any node before
- Output: Show message " No data in clipboard to paste."
- Case 6:
- Input: Create new when name of taxonomy is too long (more than 30 letters)
- Output: Show message " Taxonomy name must less than 30 characters"
- Case 7:
- Input
- Description: Check when paste 1 deleted taxonomy
- Click icon to copy category A
- Click icon to delete category A --> category A is deleted
- Click icon to paste deleted category A into another category
- Output: Show message " Can not read from source file or destination category is subcategory"

- In File Explorer, select a document
- Add a category for this doc such as 'Calendar'
- Go to ECM Administration-> Manage Taxonomy
- Select 'Calendar' and click on 'Delete' icon
