Manage Drives Test Cases
Required Test Cases
Main steps
- Go to Content Administration ->ECM Administration -> Content Presentation -> Manager Drive
Add new drive
- Click on Add Drive button -> Add Drive pop-up appears.
- Tab Drive:
- Name: enter name of drive
- Workspaces: the working area of this drive. Now, there are 4 workspace types: production, draft, backup and digital-assets
- Home path: It is root node of Drive. Click on the 'AddPath' icon and a Select root path pop-up appears to select a Home path.
- Workspace icon: icon of workspace. Click on the 'AddIcon' icon and Select icon pop-up appears to select icon.
- Permission: click on the 'AddPermisson' icon and Select Permission pop-up appears to select group of users have right to access drive.* View preference document: check/uncheck to allow to view preference document by default in drive
- View non document: check/uncheck allow to view non document by default
- View sidebar: check/uncheck allow to view sidebar by default in drive
- Allow Create Folder: check one of three choices
- Folder only
- Unstructured folder only
- Both
- Tab Apply Views: check at least one view type that apply for the drive
- Click Save button
Edit a drive
- Select a drive that you want to edit
- Click on Edit icon-> Edit Drive pop-up appears.
- Make the changes
- Click Save
Delete a drive
- Select a drive that you want to delete
- Click on Delete icon
- Click OK to confirm deleting, Cancel to quit delete action
- Selected drive is deleted from list if confirm.
Other checks
- Case 1:
- In put: 'Name' field is blank when add new drive
- Out put: Show message: "Enter drive name, please!"
- Case 2:
- In put: 'Name' field has some special character (eg: @#$%^&())
- Out put: Show message : "Drive name have some invalid characters."
- Case 3:
- In put: Do not select permission when add new drive
- Out put: Show message: "You must choose permission for this drive"
- Case 4:
- Input: Add new drive has same name with existing dirves
- Output: Show message "Drive is existing!"
- Case 5:
- In put: Do not select any property in Apply Views tab
- Out put: Show message: "You must select one apply view !"
- Case 6:
- Description: Check when add icon for drive
- In put:
- Upload an image file in File Explorer
- Go to ECMAdminManager drive
- Click icon to edit 1 drive
- In workspace icon field -> click icon to select image -> select new uploaded image -> Save
- Out put:
- In Manage Drive grid/ Column Icon --> selected image is displayed
- Go to ECM -> File Explorer --> uploaded image is displayed for drive
- Case 7:
- Description: Check when uploaded icon of drive is deleted
- In put:
- Upload an image file in File Explorer
- Go to ECMAdminManage drive
- Click icon to edit 1 drive
- In workspace icon field -> click icon to select image -> select new uploaded image ->Save
- Return to File Explorer, delete this image file
- Click Back to JCR main Drives icon
- Out put: The icon of drive is returned to default
- Case 8:
- In put:
- Create user Test is an owner in group Portal/Admin
- Go to Manage drive
- Set User on Production drive has only Simple View
- Set access User on production drive permission for *:/portal/admin
- Login by user Test
- Go to JCR Explorer -> Click to select User on production
- Out put: Show message "There is not any View applies for your access permission in drive 'User on production''
