Other actions in Message Test Case

Main steps

• Goto Mail application
• Add an account and perform check mail in account
• Message is displayed in list message of account

Import Message

• Tick at check box in First column to select message
• then click Import message option in More action menu
• Import message pop up appears: click Browse button to select file with extension .eml from your machine
• then click on upload icon to upload selected file
• select a folder in drop down list and click Import button

Imported message is displayed in list message of selected folder

Export message

• Right click at a message and select Export in menu
• In Export message pop up: Input text to File name field and select save as file in list box
• Click Export button and Windown browser opened
• then Select location to save file export and click OK button to finish

A message is exported and saved to your machine

Add Start

• Tick at check box in First column to select message
• then click Add start option in More action menu

Selected message is added start. Start icon in Second column of message line is enable.

Remove Start

• Tick at check box of message which added start
• then click Remove start option in More action menu

Selected message is removed start. Start icon in second column of message line is disabled.

Mark as Read message

• Tick at a message which you want to mark as read
• then click Mark as Read message option in menu

Selected message is marked as read. Text in message line is changed from bold to default.

Mark as Unread message

• Tick at a message which you want to mark as unread
• then click Mark as Unread option in menu

Selected message is marked as unread. Text in message line is changed from default to bold.

Other checks

Import Message

• Case 1: Test import message in case valid file is imported
  • Input:
    • In Import message pop up: Browse a file .eml which has format data correct
    • then click upload icon to upload selected file and next, select folder in list
    • Perform import message to selected folder
  • Output:
    • Mail is imported successfully to the selected folder
• Case 2: Test import message in case invalid file is imported
  • Input:
    • In Import message pop up: Browse a file .eml which has format data correct
    • then click upload icon to upload selected file and next, select folder in list
    • Perform import message to selected folder
  • Output:
    • Alert message should be shown to notify that user must input correct file format
    • Alert message sample: "Invalid file for importing. Please select the other! "

Export message

• Case 1: Test export message in case no message is selected for exporting
  • Input:
    • Do not tick any message for exporting
    • Press Export icon
  • Output:
    • Alert message is shown: "You have not selected any messages !"
• Case 2: Test export message in case many messages are selected for exporting
  • Input:
    • Tick many messages at message list pane for exporting
    • Press Export icon
  • Output:
    • Alert message should be shown to notify that user can only select 1 message for exporting
    • Alert message sample: "This action is only executed with one message."
• Case 3: Test export message in case one message is selected for exporting
  • Input:
    • Tick on one message at message list pane for exporting
    • Press Export icon
    • Select the folder the message is exported
  • Output:
    • Message is exported successfully to selected folder in .eml format.

Add/Remove start

• Case 1: Add Star for unstared message
  • Input:
    • Select unstared message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Add Star option
  • Output:
    • Message is added star successfully.
• Case 2: Add Star for Star message
  • • Select Starred message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Add Star option
  • Output:
    • Message is already starred. So, nothing is changed
• Case 3: Remove Star for unstared message
  • Input:
    • Select unstared message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Remove Star option
  • Output:
    • Message is already unstarred. So, nothing is changed
• Case 4: Remove Star for stared message
  • Input:
    • Select stared message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Remove Star option
  • Output:
    • Message is removed star successfully

Mark as Read/Unread message

• Case 1: Mark as Read for unread message
  • Input:
    • Select unRead message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Mark as Read option
  • Output:
    • Message is marked as Read successfully.
• Case 2: Mark as Read for read message
  • Input:
    • Select Read message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Mark as Read option
  • Output:
    • Message is already read message. So, nothing is changed
• Case 3: Mark as Unread for unread message
  • Input:
    • Select Unread message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Mark as Unread option
  • Output:
    • Message is already unread message, So, nothing is changed
• Case 4: Mark as Unread for read message
  • Input:
    • Select Read message
    • Press on More Action icon and select Mark as Read option
  • Output:
    • Message is marked as unread successfully
